Time to head back to the Araneta Coliseum not for Binibining Pilipinas but for Jars of Clay, with Barbie's Cradle as front act. It is certainly refreshing to hear music that encourages praise and worship...and even a marriage proposal onstage! Bring it on. 
High five to Jay Abola for the fantastic seats!

Highlights of my 2004
|
|
So how did my year go? Here are the experiences I feel truly thankful for...
 Began practicing for my major backpacking trip (happening no later than Dec 2007) via "medium-cost" journey in Central (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan) and South Thailand (Krabi, Phi Phi) on two separate occasions which included a one-week stop in Koh Phangan for the world-famous Full Moon Party ;
 Eleven (11) months of partying around town ; rediscovered love for trance music ; maintained tolerable levels of alcohol intake (never got into any trouble) ; increased stamina to stay awake until 6am during long nights (except when there is work the following day!) ;
 Beyond business contacts, expanded network of local & overseas personal friends through (a) travel , (b) night-outs , (c) online conversations, (d) first-time meet-ups following e-mail exchanges ; met new friends from France, Germany, Iran, Lithuania, Malta, Morocco, Israel, Ireland, Canada, Sweden, Turkey, Austria, Australia, Singapore, the UK, US, Netherlands, and of course the Philippines.
 Surprise "brother-will-take-care-of-everything" overseas trip for my only sibling so she can visit Bangkok for the first time ; last time she boarded a plane was 14 years ago!
 Increased fascination for reality TV shows and talent search (Big Brother Australia, American Idol, Australian Idol, the Amazing Race and a few local ones) ; always cool to see how individuals take that first bold step and eventually realise they made the right choice;
 Involvement in major change initiatives at work -- people, process, systems, and policies
Got a new vehicle and gained confidence in driving a car on automatic transmission

Cherish new friends but treasure old ones. It was cool to see dear friends again and meet new ones along the way (even if it meant putting on some weight during this season of get-togethers!)
